Ischia Trekking Experience 14 - 21 may 2023

1st DAY - ARRIVAL / ISCHIA

Arrival at the airport and transfer to the island of Ischia to the hotel. Room assignment, dinner e overnight stay.

2nd DAY - THE TRAILS OF BIANCOLELLA (with tasting)

Breakfast at the hotel and pick up to reach the village of Campagnano from where you will go up through "the middle towers" with a splendid view over the Gulf of Naples to reach the village abandoned of Piano Liguori. Walking through vegetable gardens and vineyards overlooking the sea until you reach the spectacular overlooking the mythical bay of Sgarrupata. Continue on a path dug into the tuff, between deposits of lapilli and ancient ashes. After a well-deserved relaxation and a tasting based on garden products and wine local, resume the path to return to the starting point along one of the roads (steep descent) oldest on the island, where you are picked up to return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

3rd DAY - MONTE EPOMEO (with tasting)

Breakfast at the hotel and pick-up to embark on the trek reaching Serrara Fontana, from where you enter the Frassitelli wood, a terrace of dense acacias with a view of Forio, which with its undergrowth is the kingdom of the wild rabbit. Continue to Falanga, a chestnut wood where it is It is possible to find the typical stone houses, the snow pits and ancient “millstones” dug into the typical green tuff local stone. From here you climb steeply up to a dirt road that leads to Pietra dell’Acqua, for then reach the Epomeo crest, Punta San Nicola (789m), where there is an excavated hermitage in the huge boulder of green tuff that makes up the top itself. During the descent stop in a typical restaurant for tasting with local dishes accompanied by Biancolella wine. After the break, yes resumes the route for a short descent until reaching the point of arrival to be picked up for the I'm going back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

4th DAY - BAIA DELLA PELARA AND MONTE DI PANZA (with tasting)

Breakfast at the hotel and pick up to reach the hamlet of Panza, where at the time of a path, crossing a dense grove of holm oaks and heather, you will reach the top of the Pelara bay, valuable geosite, from where you can enjoy the view on the stratifications. The descent is introduced by a steep staircase with wooden steps carved into the tuff that lead to a wall of pumice, ashes and lapilli. In addition to the typical coastal vegetation, the presence of orchids is of particular naturalistic interest

wild. Going back along the path with the detour to Monte di Panza, from where you will admire a wonderful view of Capri in Sant'Angelo, you will arrive at the magical bay of Sorgeto. Stop for tasting in an ancient cellar with a unique view over the bay, famous for its water basins natural hot. Pick up for return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

5th DAY - CANNAVALE & SOURCE OF NITRODI (with tasting)

Breakfast at the hotel and pick up for the start of the itinerary reaching the town of Fiaiano. Departure from Via Cretaio through some of the oldest paths on the island, traveled daily in the past for the collection of Buceto water. While the chestnut grove leaves room for immense vineyards, it will rise again through a multitude of stone steps and then rest in the quiet of Piano San Paolo. We continue reaching the typical Cannavale estate for a light tasting at zero km with a view breathtaking on the Gulf, and then resume the path up to the Madonnina di Buttavento. From here you will leave the path to cross the ancient village of Buonopane and finally enter the unique atmosphere of the source of the Nitrodi nymphs. Relax in the showers and aromatic path. After the break you are picked up for the return to hotel. Dinner and overnight.

6th DAY - APERITREKKING ON THE MOUTH OF TIFEO (with aperitif)

Breakfast at the hotel and free morning at your disposal. In the afternoon pick up to go to the discovery of the myth of the giant Tifeo. You will go up through a hidden path among the Mediterranean scrub, admiring cisterns dug into the green tuff stone and splendid terraced vineyards overlooking the town of Forio and the island of Ventotene on the horizon. Going back along the path you will reach a splendid one cellar for a visit to the estate and a tasting at sunset.

7th DAY - ISCHIA

Free day dedicated to the sun, the sea, spas and shopping. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. Possibility to include an excursion off the island of your choice between Capri FD or Procida HD

DAY 8 - ISCHIA / DEPARTURE

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Naples airport and end of our services.
